Higher Disk IOPS and Network Speed for VPS and VDS Servers

Higher Disk IOPS and Network Speed for VPS and VDS Servers
Published on Feb 5, 2026 Updated on Feb 5, 2026

We’ve rolled out a performance update that increases both disk and network limits for several server types. These changes are effective as of January 21, 2026, and apply to new server orders or after a server reinstallation.

#Increased disk IOPS limits

The disk subsystem limits have been raised for both VPS and VDS servers:

  • VPS servers: from 6,000 to 10,000 IOPS
  • VDS servers: from 60,000 to 100,000 IOPS

This update improves disk performance for workloads that rely on frequent read and write operations, especially when working with smaller files or data blocks.

#Higher network speed for Performance VDS

We’ve also increased the available network speed for Performance VDS servers:

  • From 1 Gbps to 3 Gbps

The total amount of included traffic remains the same, but higher throughput allows data to move faster when bandwidth is needed.

#What this means for your workloads

These updates are most noticeable in scenarios that involve:

  • Small file operations
  • Databases and caches
  • CI workloads
  • Applications with frequent disk access
  • High-throughput data transfers on Performance VDS

Read and write operations on smaller blocks, roughly in the 4 KB to 64 KB range, will benefit the most.

#Availability

The new limits apply to:

  • Newly ordered servers
  • Existing servers after reinstallation

If you’re running performance-sensitive workloads and want to take advantage of the higher limits, a reinstall is required.

If you have questions about how this affects your setup, our support team is happy to help you review your options.
