Network Connectivity Upgrades: New Upstream Capacity in Tokyo and Singapore
Published on Jun 17, 2026 Updated on Jun 18, 2026

At Cherry Servers, we continuously invest in network infrastructure to ensure customers benefit from reliable connectivity, low latency, and resilient global performance.

Over the past few weeks, we have completed several network upgrades across our Tokyo and Singapore Points of Presence (PoPs), adding new upstream connectivity and increasing network resilience in key regions.

These upgrades support the growing demands of performance-sensitive workloads, including blockchain infrastructure, streaming applications, databases, trading systems, SaaS platforms, and real-time analytics.

#New Upstream Connectivity in Tokyo

In Tokyo, Cherry Servers has added a new upstream connection through TATA Communications.

The upgrade strengthens network diversity and enhances connectivity throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Tokyo continues to be an important location for customers running blockchain infrastructure, gaming platforms, trading systems, and other latency-sensitive applications that require reliable international connectivity.

Additional network improvements are already planned for the location, including expanded connectivity to regional internet exchange ecosystems.

Coming soon in Tokyo: New connection to BBIX Internet Exchange.

#Major Network Upgrade in Singapore

Our Singapore PoP has also received a significant network expansion with the addition of a new upstream connection through TATA Communications. This upgrade marks the beginning of a broader modernization effort for the Singapore location as we continue migrating toward higher-capacity network infrastructure.

For customers, this translates into improved traffic handling, greater resilience, and stronger connectivity across Southeast Asia and international markets.

As demand continues to grow in the region, Singapore remains a strategic hub for organizations serving users throughout Asia-Pacific.

#Why These Upgrades Matter

While network upgrades often happen behind the scenes, they directly impact customer experience. Benefits include:

  • Improved network resilience;
  • Enhanced traffic diversity;
  • Better international connectivity;
  • Reduced risk of congestion;
  • Increased redundancy across upstream providers;
  • Improved support for high-throughput workloads.

These improvements are particularly valuable for organizations operating blockchain nodes, AI infrastructure, databases, high-traffic web applications, and real-time systems where connectivity and reliability are critical.

#Continuing to Invest in Global Infrastructure

These upgrades are part of Cherry Servers' ongoing commitment to building a high-performance global infrastructure platform.

As customer workloads continue to grow, we will keep investing in network capacity, resilience, and connectivity across our global footprint to ensure businesses can scale with confidence. More network improvements are already underway and will be announced in the coming months.
