How to Deploy an NVMe Dedicated Server

Sign In to Your Dashboard

Log in to the Cherry Servers Client Portal, or register a new account to get started.

Choose a Location

Pick the location closest to your users. NVMe storage is available at every Cherry Servers location.

Configure Hardware

Choose an instant NVMe plan for swift deploying, or build your own custom configuration. Select AMD EPYC or Ryzen CPU, NVMe disks and a RAID level to match your workload needs.

Choose Operating System

Install Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, or Windows Server from pre-installed images, or mount a custom ISO through IP KVM.

Confirm and Pay

Review the configuration, choose hourly or fixed-term billing, and pay by card, bank transfer, or crypto. Deploy when you are ready.

Access Your Server

Connect via SSH or RDP with the credentials issued when the server deploys, then get started with your production workloads.

Every NVMe Server includes

All-NVMe Storage

Two NVMe disks in all servers by default in a hardware RAID array, expandable during order depending on the CPU.

100 TB Free Egress

Up to 100 TB of outbound traffic per server each month, with unmetered inbound.

10 Gbps Uplink

A private uplink of up to 10 Gbps, sized for sustained transfer.

DDoS Protection

Standard network-layer DDoS filtering blocks volumetric attacks at no extra cost, active on every server from deployment.

Full Root Access

Full control over the OS and firmware, plus out-of-band KVM for BIOS-level access, so you can reinstall or recover even without a working OS.

99.97% Uptime SLA

Single-tenant hardware with a 99.97% uptime guarantee, free of noisy-neighbor contention.

Backup Storage

A free 100 GB of network-attached backup storage, isolated from your primary disks and expandable to up to 2 TB.

API and Automation

Provision and manage servers with a REST API, Terraform provider, Ansible collection, and CLI.

Why Choose an NVMe Dedicated Server

Low-Latency Response

Your workload runs on Gen5 NVMe wired straight to the CPU with none of the controller delay that SATA adds. Small reads return in microseconds, and interactive apps respond without lag.

Sustained Throughput

Cherry Servers equips your server with NVMe disks that read and write at several gigabytes per second. Backups, multi-gigabyte data loads, and RAID rebuilds finish within minutes.

Parallel I/O at Scale

Our NVMe serves thousands of requests at once. When traffic surges, they’re able to clear without waiting on the drive.

Consistent Performance

Cherry Servers’ NVMe holds the same read and write speed whether the server is idle or under peak load. Throughput and latency hold steady hour after hour, with little to no falloff even as the drives age.

NVMe Dedicated Server Use Cases

SaaS Platforms

Our infrastructure keeps your multi-tenant SaaS responsive, with dedicated NVMe storage and reserved throughput for your database. Every tenant reads and writes to that database at once, and NVMe keeps one from slowing another. Deploy more NVMe servers on demand as you grow.

Transactional Databases

Cherry Servers puts order systems, ledgers, and booking engines on dedicated NVMe drives built for random-access workloads. Response times remain flat even during flash sales and booking rushes, so every transaction clears on time.

Real-Time Analytics

Analytics queries and streaming pipelines scan multi-gigabyte datasets on every refresh. Our NVMe drives read those datasets quickly, and the dashboard displays the current data. Spikes and anomalies are caught early enough to act on.

Web3 Nodes and Validators

Cherry Servers provides your validators and RPC nodes with single-tenant NVMe that absorbs the constant ledger writes. Your nodes resync quickly, keep pace with the chain, and hold consensus even during peak load.

NVMe Dedicated Servers: FAQ

What is an NVMe dedicated server?

An NVMe dedicated server is a single-tenant physical machine which runs storage on NVMe solid-state drives over the PCIe interface. You get full disk performance, with no virtualization layer and no other tenants sharing the hardware. Cherry Servers ships NVMe as the default across the dedicated server range.

How much faster is NVMe than a SATA SSD?

NVMe runs over PCIe lanes rather than the SATA bus. It reaches several gigabytes per second, while SATA tops out at near 600 MB/s. It also supports up to 65,535 parallel command queues, compared to SATA’s single queue of 32. That queue depth is where databases and other random-I/O workloads feel the difference.

Can I run RAID on NVMe and add more disks?

Yes. Cherry Servers ships two NVMe disks on a hardware RAID controller by default. You can add disks up to your plan’s limit, to as many as 10, depending on the CPU, and choose the RAID level during configuration. The controller runs the array on its own, which leaves the CPU free to process your workload.

Which workloads need NVMe storage?

Workloads that rely heavily on storage and read speed benefit greatly from an NVMe default. Transactional databases, SaaS platforms, real-time analytics, and blockchain nodes all make frequent small reads and writes. NVMe’s parallel queues run all of them at once, and the disk never becomes the bottleneck. While static websites and light workloads run fine on SATA, the benefits of NVMe outshine it with high concurrency and I/O volume loads.

How long does it take to deploy an NVMe dedicated server?

Pre-configured NVMe servers deploy automatically in 12 minutes on average. Custom builds that need specific hardware take longer to deploy, up to around 24 hours, because the configuration is manually assembled to order. Both ship with NVMe storage as standard, and you can connect over SSH or RDP with the credentials issued once the server is live.
