We are Now Connected to the NL-IX (Netherlands Internet Exchange) in Amsterdam

We’re happy to share that Cherry Servers is now connected to the NL-IX (Netherlands Internet Exchange), one of Europe’s leading internet exchanges, at our Amsterdam Point of Presence (PoP) via a 100G port.
#NL-IX Amsterdam now live
This new interconnection with the Netherlands Internet Exchange expands our peering capacity and significantly enhances network performance across Europe, reinforcing our commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and low-latency connectivity for all customers.
#Benefits of the NL-IX Amsterdam connection
By joining NL-IX, one of the largest and most respected Internet Exchanges in Europe, Cherry Servers now benefits from direct peering with hundreds of networks and service providers. This upgrade not only increases our redundancy and routing efficiency but also reduces the number of network hops between users and their data.
The new link also strengthens our connectivity with OVH and Hetzner—both among our top three peers—enabling lower latency and faster data exchange between these major networks and Cherry Servers’ infrastructure. The result is a more responsive and efficient experience for customers running workloads throughout Europe.
“We’re always working to strengthen our backbone and optimize performance where it matters most for our customers,” said Marius Žalinauskas, CTO at Cherry Servers. “Connecting to NL-IX is another step toward ensuring our users benefit from the most direct, resilient, and high-capacity routes across the continent.”
This Amsterdam, Netherlands connection forms part of Cherry Servers’ ongoing network expansion program, focused on increasing capacity, redundancy, and global reach through new upstreams, IX connections, and peering improvements.
In short, the NL-IX connection means better performance, lower latency, and stronger connectivity for Cherry Servers customers across Europe.
