Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (Resolute Raccoon) is now available for Cherry Servers Bare Metal infrastructure.

Following the recent launch of Ubuntu 26.04 for Virtual Servers, customers can now also deploy the latest Ubuntu release directly on dedicated AMD EPYC and Ryzen-based bare metal servers.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is now officially available, allowing customers to deploy the latest Ubuntu long-term support release on production-ready infrastructure while benefiting from the newest performance, hardware compatibility, and system-level improvements.

#Deploy Ubuntu 26.04 on Bare Metal Infrastructure

For teams running performance-sensitive workloads, bare metal infrastructure provides direct hardware access without virtualization overhead, making it especially relevant for:

  • blockchain RPC providers and validators,
  • virtualization environments,
  • Kubernetes clusters,
  • databases & data processing,
  • data-intensive applications,
  • and low-latency infrastructure.

With Ubuntu 26.04 now available on Bare Metal servers, customers can begin testing the next Ubuntu LTS generation on dedicated infrastructure optimized for high sustained performance and predictable resource allocation.

#What’s New in Ubuntu 26.04 LTS

Ubuntu 26.04 continues Canonical’s focus on performance, stability, and long-term support.

The release includes:

  • Linux Kernel 7.0 for improved hardware compatibility and performance,
  • enhanced support for modern CPUs and firmware,
  • system-level performance optimizations,
  • improved efficiency for modern workloads,
  • and a stable long-term support (LTS) foundation.

For infrastructure-heavy environments, these improvements can help optimize performance consistency, hardware utilization, and compatibility with modern server platforms.
